  4. There are no vetoes in the UNGA. If you're erroneously referring to the infamous UNSC vote, the US vetoed the ceasefire and the UK abstained. You have not established a connection with these strikes. Speaking of UNSC votes, just the other week, the Security Council passed a resolution that strongly condemned the Houthis' attacks against Red Sea shipping. All members -- permanent and rotating -- must've anticipated military action against the Houthis if the resolution were to pass. It speaks volumes that there were only abstinations, but no nays. That included Russia and China, who could've vetoed the resolution, but chose not to, because ultimately it's in their interest, too, that the Houthis get their just deserts.
