Uh, you left Afghanistan one and a half years ago. But this is a Hitler situation. Hitler started out nibbling at Germany's neighbours, and when there was no firm response, his appetite for Lebensraum only grew. We've seen the same happening with Putler and Georgia, Crimea and now, Ukraine as a whole.

WW2 escalated from the infamous Munich Agreement, which signalled to Hitler that the gloves could come off. We're at a similar juncture here. I'm surprised that a modern German fails to understand this. Corruption is just your excuse.

What's lacking from the EU? The EU is not a military alliance and creating a parallel to NATO is not in anyone's interest. Anyhow, the military aid comes from individual countries.
