  1. What do you take him for? God? The only organ in the UN that has any real power is the Security Council, the workings of which are routinely sabotaged by the USA and Russia.

  2.  @stefan5730  The UN has peacekeepers, but they can only be deployed with the express approval of the UNSC, which is hamstrung by its permanent members disagreeing.

  3.  @JamesJenkins-ce9wv  More likely, Hamas's strategy is to get 72 virgins each for its martyred fighters. I'm afraid some will have to make do with Linux nerds and Trekkies. Such are the numbers.
