@dragonborn3609 Actually, it was Germany that initiated hostilities against Finland by trying to seize the strategic island of Suursaari in the Gulf of Finland, a bitter effort that came to naught. It's interesting that since a peace treaty between Germany and Finland was never signed, Finland technically remains at war with Germany to this day. Tactfully, neither side ever brings the matter up.
