@mladenpopovic379 Montenegro voted in favour of the UNGA Resolution that condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine and called for an immediate withdrawal. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
11
It made an emergency dive without any plans to resurface, like ever, OK?
10
Badges of honour. India doesn't even get a participation award.
8
Saudi Arabia joined BRICS, innit?
8
@mc-lb9dk Akrotiri and Dhekelia on the island of Cyprus are British overseas territories. In other words, the Republic of Cyprus is not hosting British military bases on its land.
7
I would advise Boeing to keep a low profile when apportioning blame.
6
Interestingly, the only time NATO's Article 5 was invoked was when the twin towers were hit. In New York. We had to help out the US as per its express wish. My compatriots spent twenty years fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan, so that the Taliban could replace the Taliban.
5
Could it be... no, it can't be... but still, could it be that Russia is going to launch missiles at Ukraine in retaliation? Or has it tried that repeatedly already, to the best of its abilities, without any decisive effect?
4
@HANSMKAMP FYI, Trump, like all his presidents to date, will give very little money to NATO, since NATO's joint budget is rather small. The resources that the US makes available to NATO in the event of an Article 5-triggering crisis don't cost the US as much as its entire defence budget either, since the US military has plenty of extracurricular activities besides NATO. Halve the US defence budget, and it's about right. Hilariously, that's less than the 2% of GDP that the man keeps clamouring about.
3
China must be very displeased with this, especially after claiming that their involvement in the first incident was merely accidental. I mean, Russia has nothing to lose, but China still has some self-respect left.
3
Quite a peacemaker Putin is, too. I see a Nobel Peace Prize in his future. Wait...
3
That's a weird intepretation. Iran is stoking trouble throughout the Middle East, with global ramifications. Are you not part of this world?
3
One of the pitfalls of an arranged marriage, I suppose.
2
You can wax lyrical about true warriors and courage, but Israel just took out Iran's primary air defence systems. This blustering is just for domestic purposes. It's Iran that is highly vulnerable to attack from the air.
2
Work your way through the five stages of grief and you'll find acceptance.
2
Remind me, who's failing to subdue Ukraine?
2
The victim mentality is strong with you.
2
@craig4867 Projecting, me? For your info, we enjoyed a healthy kill ratio over Russian fighter pilots when we engaged them in aerial combat the last time. Face it, you Russians constantly whine about how everyone is out to get you, while more often than not, the opposite is true.
2
Why not? Taranto and Pearl Harbor aren't the deepest of ports, but major blows against enemy naval power were struck in both ports.
2
@lindao1327 The American Century is drawing to a close, just like Britain's Imperial Century ended. I've never been an outright fan of the former, but for the sake of my descendants, I dread what's next.
2
You two must be stuck been two stages of the grieving process: denial and acceptance.
2
@happychappy492 You're right! It appears Saudi Arabia "accepted the invitation to join BRICS", which apparently meant that the Saudis took possession of the invitation letter, but haven't responded favourably -- not yet anyhow. You can't blame the overzealous (read: desperate) Russians for misunderstanding Saudi Arabia's intentions.
2
Since you're so lovey-dovey with Putin, invite him over to South Africa for a snuggle. Mind you, you'll have to extradite him to The Hague to stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
1
Russia has stooped to causing misschief. Like an ill-behaved child, it can't get positive attention, so it settles for negative attention.
1
@daeph123 Ah, you wish to pass judgement. Also, don't forget to pass judgement about Ceuta and Melilla.
1
@troycote4503 Get out of the North American continent, too, for good measure. I'm sure the Native Americans will applaud your voluntary exit.
1
How is it good for Russia? Now, Russia's shadow fleet faces even stricter sanctions. Oil exports are a lifeline for Russia, and it struggled to peddle its oil even before. Another nail in Putinist Russia's coffin, for sure.
1
An NRI then.
1
Nah, it's a wet dream of yours.
1
@rebfurr3554 I spotted no errors in sialababamak537's list. There's an omission, however: the First Chechen War.
1
@kathylarson8876 Oh, Russia will eventually sue for peace, and the terms on offer won't be to its liking, but accept Russia will. Russia can still decide how much it wants to spend on war reparations. The sooner it stops its military aggression, the less it pays, but pay it will.
1
Yeah, and since we're whatabouting freely, I would like to know who had Jimmy Hoffa killed.
1
The US could afford it all, but chooses not to. Also, in healthcare, it has the worst bang-for-the-buck among developed nations. Universal healthcare would work out cheaper.
1
@mladenpopovic379 That's just wishful thinking, or do you have a credible source? Surveys done by respected polllsters? Pfrrt, why do I even bother to ask...
1
@paulparoma You're a bit behind in your history studies. 79 years, to be precise.
1
What terrorism? Ukraine struck a hostile sub that was illegally moored in its own harbour.
1
@DaFalconator True dat. NATO experienced an identity crisis when Russia was supposedly democratizing. No more, since Putin gave it a new lease of life with his belligerence. I took us a while to wake up, but better late than never.
1
Press? Your train of logic implies that Russia should be censored. The truth is very optional for the Kremlin.
1
Better leave the UN, too. When you're on a roll, will you also vacate the North American continent? I suppose the originals, the native Americans, can stay.
1
First stage of grief: denial. Up next: anger.
1
Yeah, as always, Russia is the victim here. Luckily, Russia loves nothing better than to wallow in victimhood.
1
You and the ayatollahs are forgetting that Israel will always strike back, and typically disproportionally so. It's Iran that is practically defenceless in that respect, having lost its primary air defence systems. My guess is that Iran, despite talking tough, won't test Israel for a while, not until Iran gets S-300s from Russia to replace the still-smouldering ones.
1
@serbianwarcrimes Finland is not cutting off Russia from the Baltic Sea. That's just fanboy bluster. The Houthis are a terrorist organisation. We're not going to emulate them, but rather, employ legal means to curtail Russian aggression. Despite appearances, the Russians are not competely stupid. When the cost to them outweighs the perceived benefit, they stop. Sadly, not before.
1
@dejanelakovic776 You're a Serb. You're in Putin's where-the-sun-don't-shine.
1
If so, Russia got exactly what it ordered. The NATO lake is becoming a busy NATO lake.
1
Western propaganda? Are you for reals? With the exception of the US itself, the West reacted with apprehension when it became known that Trump had won.
1
I thought Master Xi made it clear to Pu Tin that this nuclear war talk had to end.
1
@deanmoxom1330 Be that as it may, nuclear weapons have no use beyond their intended purpose. You may want to rethink your argumentation.
1
@qwittaice7672 I think you're right. Its military-industrial complex would go ape.
1
@nemo6282 How's life in your alternate reality? I'm suprised that over there, the names of continents, alliances and countries match with those in our real world, because nothing else does.
