  1. My uncle has wounded in an attack against a German machine gun nest, but managed to destroy it nonetheless. His squaddies found an Iron Cross on one of his victims and pinned it on my uncle before he was sent off to field hospital. My cousin still has it, with swastika and all. It says 1939, so the wearer must've been a Polish Campaign vet.
