  1. Same here. I was issued a Walther P1 when I deployed to Kosovo with KFOR. I was supposed to get a FN HP-DA, but there were some issues with the type, so I ended up with what my British superior called a "toy pistol" at first. I got back at him by taping my tightly-grouped target onto the fridge. I was "Pistol Piet" after that.

  2. We still use the Mosin-Nagant as a sniper rifle in the Finnish Defence Forces. Truth be told, nothing but the receiver is original. Some sport the Imperial Russian octagonal receiver, which means they're over a hundred years old.
