@in-my-view Let's also bear in mind that Russia has lost more soldiers trying to take Bakhmut than NATO lost in Afghanistan in twenty years.

@in-my-view Get your quotes straight. Nowhere did I mention "American lives". The keyword here is NATO, which led the UNSC-endorsed ISAF mission -- yes, fully endorsed by Russia and China, too. Moreover, when NATO went in, the Taliban and Al Qaeda were already safely tucked away in Pakistan. You may want to find yourself an American to play your game of whataboutism with.

@in-my-view The US isn't NATO. Why is there such a hullabaloo about Turkey and Hungary dragging their feet in approving Sweden and Finland as new members? Furthermore, why was there such a rift in NATO over the Iraq War, which Germany and France vehemently opposed? Even Russia was more agreeable to going to war against Iraq. As permanent UNSC members, Russia and China share responsibility for the Afghanistan debacle. Both voted in favour of ISAF and kept doing so many times over.

@in-my-view Yes, you are clearly confused. In your black-and-white mind, NATO is either fully controlled by the US or not at all. No middle ground, in other words. Also, you seem to think NATO is a monolith. It's clearly a sum of many parts. I did my internship at the NATO HQ in Brussels, after serving a tour with KFOR in Kosovo. So I'd say I do know a thing or two about NATO. What are your credentials? So far, you haven't impressed me.
