  1. Yeah, about that. The EU isn't all that keen on having a very fractitious UK back. Let's keep in mind that the victorious Labour Party just got 9.7 million votes, while rabidly anti-EU Reform got a respectable 4 million. If you consider the Conservatives with their 6.8 million voters anti-EU, or at least Eurosceptic, the latter two parties already enjoy a majority over Labour. With FPTP muddying the waters, it may not matter when it comes to the House of Commons, but it would be problematic for the European Parliament, for which the UK had PR voting previously. No, I think we're going to keep the UK at arm's length for the time being.
