Because Ukraine isn't as asinine as to send in tanks unprotected, Russia-style. You can bet your bottom dollar that the art of combined operations has been drilled into Ukrainian troops.

@Niko Belić Russia doesn't get to carve out a sphere of influence at the expense of its neighbours. Firstly, this is the 21st century, in which leaders of foreign powers, be it Putin or Johnson, can't make decisions on behalf of other sovereign nations. Secondly, Russia has a two-bit army that can't subdue even a much smaller and poorer neighbour. Russia is a giant with feet of clay.
