  1. It's a no-brainer to collect HIMARS rocket debris at the numerous targets that the Ukrainians have hit and plant it as "evidence" at Olenivka prison. Also, why would there be a need for precision weapons? The Russians control the area. They could've used any manner of explosive device, like a barrel filled with C4 and HIMARS rocket debris.

  4. Russia has a lot of HIMARS rocket debris. Their destroyed ammunition dumps, fuel depots and command posts are littered with it, after Ukraine struck them with devastating effect. How hard would it be for the Russians to pick up the pieces and present those as "evidence" at Olenivka prison?

  5.  @SpreadGuts  My guess is that Russia is trying to present Ukraine's use of the HIMARS in a negative light, which could prompt the US to stop further deliveries of launchers and/or rockets. Desperation is clearly setting in.
