  1. China still has a lot of catching up to do. A slowdown in growth in China equates to a recession in Europe. China still has a lot of untapped potential and is far from plateauing. And who says the Chinese themselves aren't disappointed? The Chinese I deal with are born businessmen, very astute.

  2.  @BingoPaletot  Agree. Thanks to its developing country status, China's been getting away with murder, especially in terms of carbon dioxide emissions. It's time to the let real developing countries reap the benefits, not in the least by snatching away some of China's outsourced manufacturing.

  3. China's mismanagement of the pandemic is a self-inflicted wound. No back-stabbing from the West here.

  4.  @zpervaiz7345  Nope, we were all well on our way to recovery while China was still stuck with draconian Covid restrictions. The interesting bit was how China abruptly reversed its policy. The CCP's instinct for self-preservation must've kicked in. Its monopoly on power overrides everything.
