  7. @Peter Thiele Disliking Putin's foolish war isn't enough to be granted asylum. Otherwise, a good part of Russia's population would trek westward. Would-be leavers can apply for a residence permit, but usually it's only those with specialist skills that land one.

  9. Banning Russians from integrating in Finland? On the contrary, Finland has been fast-tracking residence permits for Russian ICT specialists. Finnish software companies are overjoyed at the influx of qualified recruits. With no tourists visas to issue, the specialists' applications can be processed even faster.
