Those who endured German cruelty are long dead, and so are several generations that came after them. Perhaps try to focus on the here and now?

No, lack of labour in Germany is.

@lacinabakayoko4634 You have no idea how it works in Germany. The labour unions would be in uproar and demand equal pay for the Kenyans. The rationale goes that employers would otherwise favour cheaper Kenyan workers to the detriment of Germans.

Don't be a drama queen. They're no more slaves than German workers in general. I wouldn't be surprised if the future offspring of a Kenyan immigrant makes chancellor of Germany one day. Barack Obama reached the top spot in the US.

Uh, it isn't even possible to pay Kenyan workers less than German workers -- or for that matter, more. The trade unions would throw a hissy fit and Germany would have to answer to the European Court for Human Rights for discriminating on race and national origin.

It's not an either/or situation.

@coralsky-o3h You're painting a very one-sided picture. In return for their taxes, the Kenyan workers get free health care and free education, both for their children and themselves, in case they want to better themselves. In summary, they certainly get their money's worth.

@coralsky-o3h If they'd barely scrape by in Kenya, they wouldn't contribute much in tax revenue, would they? We can't wait till the cows can home till there's an opportunity for them to apply themselves in Kenya and purely for the benefit of Kenya, but in the mean time...

Cheap labour? The Germans still have to pay them German salaries.

Do you really think they'll be put in chains and transported to Germany on a slave ship? For your info, they'll be afforded the same rights as German workers, and the same salary, too. German trade unions would be up in arms if that weren't the case. The European Court of Human Rights would sue Germany to kingdom come.
