  1. You've fallen bady behind. Fatah, the dominant faction in the PLO, recognised Israel as part of the Oslo Accords. Israel dragged its feet in the subsequent peace negotiations. Israel's intransigence proved tragic.

  2. Gift? Netanyahu is a political zombie. His hard-line policies and handling of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have proven an abject failure. Israel will tolerate him till the situation is back under control, but not a moment longer.
