Russian oligarchs helped themselves to Russia's assets. That was the case under Yeltsin and now, it still is under Putin, who uses them as his piggy banks. Stop passing the buck.

@Chris66Mas So? I supported Yeltsin. So did the Russian people. Myself, I thought Yeltsin was going to turn Russia into a proper developed country. Were we to blame that it came to naught? In case you can't figure it out yourself, it means we're not accountable for the crimes of those whom we can't control, even if we supported them at one time or another. But the saddest thing of all is that the Russian people, who should be in control, let their kleptocrats be. The Belarusians have now gotten the gist, but not the Russians.
