@mikw1809 Try to go after Trump's loved ones for insider trading and you'll find yourself in the dock.

@Yodaploks Don't be a bore, Yoda. Trump blackmailed Canada with a trumped-up fentanyl story, but there's a real trade war looming with Europe. If indeed the EU did Trump's bidding, that trade war would be over before it started, and not even take the pitiful 24 hours that the USA was warring against Canada and Mexico.

@buddy1155 Yeah, drugs wars aren't really taught about in business schools. That would be the DEA academy or some such.

@copperfieldtexas5791 I'm confused, Tex. If everyone needs the US, but vice versa, you need all of us far less, why all the hullabaloo about the US trade imbalance? It sure sounds like you desperately need us to buy American than vice versa.

@copperfieldtexas5791 Fairness is not the issue here. I'm old enough to remember how one of your presidents blamed Japan for not importing US cars, while Japan was exporting cars to the US at full tilt. At the time, US car manufacturers didn't offer cars with right-hand drive. Your president might as well have wondered why burly Texan men don't buy silky kimonos to wear. Make more attractive products and above all, make them at home, so that they'll show up on your trade balance instead of China's. You're basically blaming us that you went for outsourced manufacturing en masse. You still didn't explain the contradiction between you claiming that you don't need us much vs. Trump whining about the trade imbalance. You Americans desperately want us to buy more American goods and services, and it's an undeniable fact that you Americans like to buy ours, or there wouldn't be a trade imbalance.

@nvmtt You forget that Turkey still secretly covets EU membership, or at least, a hang-around membership of the EU. Turkey would absolutely luuurve the economic and monetary stability that the EU provides.

@nvmtt It still works wonders. You rack your brain why.
