  2.  @in-my-view  Nah, Russia would've invaded Ukraine no matter what. Also, NATO's bolstering of Ukraine's defences apparently didn't register with Russia, or its forces would've prepared for it. It's as clear as day that the Kremlin expected a cakewalk, with NATO and the Western world just protesting and issuing cosmetic sanctions. As things turned out quite differently, stories about a proxy war are being spun. Russia can't deal with Ukraine, so it pretends dealing with a much more formidable enemy. Pathetic.
