@springbloom5940 Try to get it through your thick skull that it's Hezbollah, not Lebanon, that's fighting here. Especially in Northen Lebanon, people wouldn't shed a single tear if Hezbollah disappeared overnight.

Duh, this is more about Iran and its proxy war against Israel. The Iranians by and large identify as Persian rather than Arab. Your oversimplifications serve no purpose here.

@AbsolutelyFabulous3 In the same vein, let's wait for the existence of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy to be proven.

@AbsolutelyFabulous3 Uh, I'm a non-believer, and that includes Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. Trust you not to understand, but the burden of proof that your magic sky friend exists rests with you.
1
@AbsolutelyFabulous3 You literally wrote: "I don’t follow your belief [...]" as if someone is his right mind believes in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. I felt I had to correct your erroneous belief, of which you seem to have many, contrary to myself. You're not very good at this conversation thing, are you?

@AbsolutelyFabulous3 By default, I don't believe in mythical beings that don't make their presence known in any verifiable manner. I'm agnostic, not atheist. If a deity makes his presence known, I'll consider the facts carefully. You specifically asked for proof that Jesus doesn't exist. If that's a valid argument in your book, the same courtesy should be extended to Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

@AbsolutelyFabulous3 You don't own this discussion forum, missy.

@AbsolutelyFabulous3 Aw. I must've insulted your magic sky friend.

Have you asked Russia to solve all your problems? Or China? They're a bit lacklustre in supporting the UN's chronically under-resourced peacekeeping efforts, but maybe you can convince them to get busy. Well, not Russia, because it has already too much on its plate making war in Ukraine, but how about China?

You've got the definition of asymmetrical warfare all wrong. Hezbollah is embracing asymmetrical warfare, since they lack the IDF's conventional military resources. The Hezbollah's missiles and rockets are part and parcel of it. Despite the most elaborate missile defence system in the world, Israel struggles to counter them.

Lebanon? Educate yourself about Hezbollah and its state-within-a-state status in deeply-divided Lebanon.

@fredbohm4728 Try this on for size: "As of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 146 of the 193 member states of the United Nations, or just over 75% of all UN members."
