  1. You're implying the EU is dead, while it's clearly alive and kicking. Unlike the populists, Merkel has something else to contribute that just criticism and scapegoating.

  2.  @tehilsmaniac9372  Nonsense. Communism is a completely spent force. If you're likening today's left with Communism, you're either misleading or misled. Eastern Europe's dabbling with right-wing populism has more to do with a certain acceptance of authoritarianism, which in itself is a relic of Communism. Let's face it, Eastern Europe's democratic institutions are still relatively weak. Of course, it doesn't help that the populists are weakening them further.
