Do you have to be a vassal to one or the other? I thought Indian independence kicked in in 1947.

The question is, will Russia abandon India? It will take Russia 250 milliseconds (the average human reaction time) to do so if there's a confrontation between India and China.

Whose Pupenjungen are the Indians themselves? India is the biggest arms importer in the world. Its largest supplier, Russia, just did a disappearing act from the global arms market. Who's India's go-to arms supplier now?

@INTJ791 Can I have an English translation, please?

@Classics1 How is your reply of any relevance to what I wrote earlier? I was wondering why India lurches from one master to another.

@Classics1 Come off it. There's always an element of subservience in India's dealings with the world. It's your choice, not ours. Finally break free from it.

@durgeshsss You're the one behaving like a child here. India still is the biggest importer of arms in the world, accounting for 11% of the world's total. Not only that, India has held the top spot ever since 1993. I know there's a 'Make in India' effort ongoing, but despite some progress, India remains heavily dependent on foreign imports. If you can bring yourself to behaving like an adult, try to answer my question: which country is taking over from Russia as India's biggest foreign arms supplier?

So India felt indebted to the Soviet Union. Somehow, Putin inherited said debt and you'll repay him, morals be damned. Such slavishness just underlines that India is not ready for a permanent seat in the UNSC.

@thematic3893 Yeah, let's hope India doesn't stop buying Russian oil below production cost.
1
@thematic3893 It just does. And not just to flog cheap oil to India, but even much more so, to China. Russia needs to keep its oil facilities operational, and it needs the foreign currency, especially yuan, to allow it to import essentials, which it cannot produce itself. China, in particular, is mighty pleased. It's not often that you get to dictate prices to your supplier.

@thematic3893 What a flaccid response.

@thematic3893 You'd best scurry off to your troll cave.

No worries, it's a great ploy to bankrupt Russia. Russia sells oil below production cost to India. I believe India can use a bit of wealth transfer, too. More toilets, in case you didn't get the gist.
