@samsmith2635 It's a public secret that the 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, one of Russia's two prestigious Arctic brigades, was decimated in Ukraine. In just three months of fighting, the brigade had lost 18 of its 26 T-80BVM specialty tanks and was down to 60% of its pre-war manpower.

Russia disintegrating will have repercussions for Scandinavia, too. I remember only too well how we prepared in the military for any repercussions of the Soviet Union disintegrating. There were few, but this time could be different.

@Silver_Prussian The Wall Street Journal presented pretty compelling evidence, including official Russian documents. Ukraine also showed both captured and burnt-out T-80BVMs, a type that is supposedly uniquely suited for Arctic conditions. Satellite pictures of their base indicate that the brigade remains severely depleted.
