@tyrson2445 UNIFIL's mandate -- or its rules of engagement -- don't allow for disarming Hezbollah and/or keeping Israel out. If you disagree, you should petition for your government to take up the matter at the UN and have UNIFIL's mandate changed to suit your wishes. Either way, if you want to make a difference, you may want to consider serving in Lebanon yourself as a UN peacekeeper. Go for it, I say.

Uh, most Lebanese are painfully aware of the predicament they find themselves in with Hezbollah and Israel. They're powerless to change their fate. When foreign actors like Iran stop interfering, they stand a chance.

@Kim-J312 You exemplify why Trump should never regain the US presidency. You're both geopolitical nincompoops. Its inherent weakness nothwithstanding, the Lebanese Armed Forces are a stabilising factor in an inherently unstable country. The alternative could be a resurgence of civil war, which would destabilise the region further. Not even Israel wants that.
