  2. Polexit and Hungexit are starting to look desirable. I equate it to debriding politically gangrenous tissue. Also, while Brexit was a loss for the EU in budgetary terms, Polexit and Hungexit would be wins. Italy already had its flirt with nationalist populism. It did nothing to turn things around. The Italians desperately need EU-backed loans to reform their chronically stagnant economy.

  4.  Galactic Minds  The problem there is that the EU, per definition, retaliates. The retaliatory slap dealt by the EU, being a heavyweight, will amount to a knock-out blow for the UK, a mere welterweight.
