  5.  @bkh8528  Hamas is a death cult. Nothing about the brutal retaliation by the IDF should've come as a surprise to anyone, yourself included. Everything about Hamas's Oct 7 attacks says they were carefully planned. You'd think they gave some thought to the aftermath, too. Israel responds in the only way it knows and it's perfectly within expectations based on earlier flare-ups of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
