Let's be honest. The same people celebrating here will celebrate the next coup in Mali. Then they'll celebrate French troops re-entering Mali. Nothing ever changes.

@wumaobot Giving away Mali's resources for free would defeat the whole purpose of staging a coup d'état. The Malian military leaders can only enrich themselves by selling resources.

I suppose it hasn't sunk in with you that the present government in Mali came to power in a coup d'état, and the government they replaced had come to power in a coup as well, and all that within the span of a year. Before you know it, Russian friendship and support may become unrequited.

@wumaobot Here, it would appear they're corrupt leaders supported by Russia. I know they stage coups in Mali at a frenetic pace, but try to keep up.

@notoriousnono1328 Did they have a referendum beforehand to establish the fact? African coups are evidently becoming more democratic.

@notoriousnono1328 So did they at least conduct an opinion poll to gauge the level of support? And did people indicate a preference for a Russian puppet?

@notoriousnono1328 So it's your gut feeling that we should trust. I've seen the videos. I also distinctly remember seeing how a jubilant crowd was waving French tricolores in 2013, when the intervention started. Coups, foreign troops marching in or out -- you're loving it every time.
