@luff675 Hamas doesn't receive Western aid. The aid is delivered directly to Gazan schools, hospitals and the like. In the EU, where Hamas is designated a terrorist organisation, it's illegal to fund Hamas in any way.

@ruyaal Hamas does enjoy a measure of support in the West Bank. It's unclear in how far that support translates to armed struggle, but there it is.

@luff675 "Palestine", which would mean the Palestinian Authority, has recognised Israel in the Oslo Accords. Hamas does not represent "Palestine", not by axiom or otherwise.

@luff675 Of course corruption exist. You probably know that from personal experience. It still doesn't mean we shouldn't try to curtail it, or throw the baby out with the bathwater. Aiding and abetting a terrorist organisation is a very serious offense.
