@foedspaghetti3290 For better or worse, Putin does have a social contract with the Russian people. It's all based on Putin ending the social and economic turmoil that characterised the Yeltsin era. Ironically, Russia is now heading back that way. There will come a time when even the dullest Russian will realise that the man was outlived his usefulness. It's like the Russians say, Western countries have elections, Russia has revolutions.
