@Pers0002 Oh, but Ukraine has put up a helluva fight. Estimates put Russian casualties at 80,000 and armour losses at 4,000. By the way, you'd better not try to guess what the exact number is, because if you get it right, you'll be imprisoned for seven years -- it's the law in Russia.

@Rolf-farmedfacts-supervisor Are you old enough to remember what the Iron Curtain was about? In stark contrast to Soviet times, Putin's Russia would very much like their citizens to travel to the West. In fact, one of Putin's pals just threatened with a nuclear strike if the EU were to ban Russian tourists.

@stevenwilson5556 We're talking about individual Russians, not Russia. Sure, it's morally indefensible that we host Russian holidaymakers while the Ukrainians suffer at the hands of Russia's autocrats. But to cut off Russians from their family in the West is another matter altogether, as is helping Russia's young talent relocate to the West. If anything, we should roll out the red carpet for the latter.

@Pers0002 It goes without saying that I'm basing myself on Western estimates. The Kremlin hasn't updated its casualty figures for months. It's embarrassing that I have lecture you about your own laws. Revealing Russian casualty figures is tantamount to revealing a state secret, which is punishable by a jail term of seven years. Fact.
