@Starrider. It's very simple. When Russian troops have either been removed by force from Ukraine or Russia has agreed to withdraw unconditionally, the ensuing peace talks can concentrate on how much Russia is going to pay in war reparations.

@davlid100 Let's strike a deal. NATO can expand wherever it wants -- or rather, wherever the locals want in. CSTO can do likewise, under the same conditions. Don't come crying to us, however, if no one wants to join your hero Putin's sorry excuse for an anti-NATO, which may have died a quiet death while we were paying attention to the war in Ukraine.

@Crashed131963 You're quite mistaken. Russia has made numerous more or less veiled threats against Finland. Unimaginatively, Putin's worst bloodhounds have threatened Finland with nuclear strikes. Interestingly, Russia's troops manning the military bases straddling the Finnish border have suffered crippling losses in Ukraine. Satellite images show that they're stripped clean of men and material. Russia would like to put paid to its threats against Finland, but it simply is in no position to do so. For now.
