The Messenger I warned you, but you still decided to go for a platitude. I asked you juxtapose the US constitution with those of comparable developed countries.

The Messenger But constitutions are commonplace. What's so special about yours? No platitudes, please.

The Messenger Let's recap. You claimed that the US is special on account of its constitution. I asked you what's special about it, since all comparable developed countries have one and they're strikingly similar at that. You can't seem to put your finger on what those supposedly unique US features are, which to me is a clear indicator that you don't know what you're talking about. FYI, referring to rioting Nigerians and Hongkongers does nothing to illustrate your point. I specifically mentioned "comparable developed countries". Nigeria is still a developing country and Hong Kong is clearly developing in the wrong direction -- from proto-democratic to proto-autocratic. For once, try comparing yourselves to the best.

More like ACW2.

The Messenger No worries mate, I'm not Eastern. I highly doubt you have anything to teach me about about Western philosophy, but you should deffo teach yourself the very basics of political philosophy.

@duanescot Oh, now you as well. If you're confident you're keenly aware of the differences, why you don't explain what they are? And what make you conclude we prioritize group think over self-determination? Examples, please.

@duanescot Bud, I have no suggestions for you as to what the US should be. To put it bluntly, it's none of my business. I was, however, wondering what the perceived uniqueness of the US constitution is about, since after writing a thesis about constitutions and relates practices worldwide, I see very little of that in yours. Quirks and dated oddities yes, but fundamentally it's very much alike those of other developed countries. Like your compatriot Captain Ishmael, you're still not providing any examples in support of the uniqueness of the US constitution.

@joyhock190 Duh, nothing unique there. I said no platitudes, please.
