This anti-France hysteria mostly serves to hide West Africa's own failings. It's like a 30-year old blaming his parents for him still living in the basement.

  6.  @mkodyglobalsouthsoldier  You're making it appear like an obligaton, which it simply isn't. No one is forcing the CFA countries to remain in the currency union. There are plenty of precedents for leaving. Incidentally, France, too, is bound by strict fiscal rules with regard to the eurozone. So, are we robbing France blind, or is France cleaning us out, too?

  8.  @Madame702  Coup d'états within the EU? Europe (with the notable exception of European Russia) has a firmly established democratic process for political renewal. Where undemocratic countries have coup d'états and revolutions, democratic ones have elections.
