@alexlong3714 Whatever gave you that idea? Governing coalitions are typically forged after an election and not before. Parties want to see how strong a mandate their potential coalition partners will gain before they'll consider tying the knot.

Must? The AfD can try to form a coalition that enjoys a majority, but that's bound to fail if the other parties have placed a cordon sanitaire around the AfD. Then it's up to next in line to have a go at forming a coalition. It's all very democratic.

I know. Populism. The Ossies, being relative newcomers to democracy, are more inclined to fall for it.

A wet dream indeed. The far right is peaking as we speak, but even if they make it into government, it'll be as part of a tenuous coalition. Their voters will soon tire of them, because promises and expectations won't meet with reality.
