Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "Palestinian factions meet in Beijing to sign a unity declaration | DW News" video.
That is extremely debatable. I see this as something similar to the Uyghurs signing a 'unity declaration' with Al Qaeda.

I don't know about the CIA, but Mossad is very happy indeed. They just had another plausible excuse to prolong the conflict served to them on a sliver platter.

China should consider bringing peace to Ukraine instead, which is an entirely feasible proposition. In fact, one phone call from Xi to Putin should suffice.

I seem to recall we were dead set against Apartheid. And we just recognised Palestine.
1
China, by action and inaction, is prolonging the war in Ukraine. I don't call that "promoting peace in the world."
1
China Daily seems to be more your style.

The question is, will Fatah reconsider? Hamas is deemed a terrorist organisation. Fatah is not making things easier for itself by consorting with terrorists. Both the Palestinian Authority and Israel seem extremely adept at shooting themselves -- and each other -- in the foot.

@ivybae9906 We consider ourself Western and we justifiably deem Hamas a terrorist organisation, but all the same we just recognised Palestine. So much for being "Western allies" with Israel. I think you'll find that the Global South doesn't condone Hamas's terrorism en masse. A great many of the countries in question have to contend with terrorism as well. They're begging us for help -- which we've provided, too.

howlee4091 How would you know which particular Uyghurs I meant and what has your comment got to do with the price of tea in China? I know you're paid by the post -- be it a pittance -- but try to make it count.

@indreamluo1981 "Some people"? You always accuse outsiders of your home-grown problems. Like the Palestinians, the Uyghurs want self-determination. In reaction, China locks them up in "internment camps".

@kevinaa114 You mean a fourth academic degree? Give me a break.

@rabbit719 Are you trying to ask what's the life of Uyghurs like in China? I've travelled extensively in China, Xinjiang included. It was the only part of China where we were permanent accompanied by a government official and an armed guard.
1
@V-Voiceless You can safely say "wouldn't" instead of "couldn't".
1
@kevinaa114 "in deed"? You need to report to the nearest British Council for re-education.
1
@rabbit719 Uh, who's smearing? I merely noted that a Hamas-Fatah reconciliation makes as much sense as the Uyghurs getting chummy with Al Qaeda, as in not at all. Then your imagination ran amok. I was relating my factual observations. I was in Xinjiang doing surveys, commissioned by a Chinese customer. I can only conclude that China had something to hide in Xinjiang. Your hair-trigger defensiveness speaks volumes, too.
1
@rabbit719 Uh, where did you think I was? I was is Xinjiang, "only in china [sic]". I think you need extra English lessons.

@TuhunluunBionoid You should go on a magical journey of discovery, and discover the difference in meaning between 'same' and 'similar'. While at it, you may want to look out for a cure for pedantry as well, Mr. Besserwisser.

@raafeyplayz7015 What's race got to do with anything? Ignorance is not race-related.
1
@hongkong670 I see you're into victim-blaming.

@hongkong670 I see you as a very poor conversationalist. Over and out.

So get to it then, China. Call off Putin and his Orcs.
