  1. An excess of copium has you spouting nonsense. Putin not only gave NATO a new lease of life, but also, NATO has grown in size and capabilities. In the mean time, Russia's military capabilities have been severely degraded in Ukraine and its anti-NATO, the CSTO, is shrinking -- if indeed it still exists.

  4.  @claus-not-santa  In Libya, a civil war broke out. Syria, same difference. Iraq was anything but a NATO affair, causing a deep fissure within the alliance that only healed when the Americans ate crow. When NATO arrived in Afghanistan -- with the explicit blessing of Russia and China, I might add -- the Taliban was already hiding out in Pakistan. Try to remember that for the next time. Your lot keeps getting it wrong.

  5.  @claus-not-santa  Other than imposing a UNSC-mandated no-fly zone, Libya was an extracurricular activity as far as NATO was concerned. And strictly speaking, Syria wasn't a NATO op at all. You might as well blame the UN for starting all wars, because there's bound to be a UN member to blame. Astrid Lindgren? Don't go silly on me now.
