  2. @Nicholas P Sure, in America's shoes Putin wouldn't have left Afghanistan. He likes to keep his "peacekeepers" in country for perpetuity. Of course, it would've bankrupted a weak economy like Russia's, but Putin isn't a great economist. Recent events are proof positive of that.

  5.  @robgianzon7427  What's wrong with sanctioning Russia? In WW2, Japanese garrisons on quite a few Pacific islands were bypassed and left to "wither on the vine." Soon enough, the unsupplied Japanese soldiers had each other for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Americans, too, have an obsession with the US. One half hates what the other half stands for, so if you think about it, you're two peas in a pod!

  10. Not only those. The EU will react with crippling sanctions. Why do you need to ask? Lately, there's been plenty of talk of further sanctions. Now they're materialising.

  11. So? Considering real-life aggression that Ukraine has been subjected to at the hands of Russia, it makes perfect sense for Ukraine to want to join NATO. NATO has installed trip wires in some NATO countries nearby. That's a far cry from the massive military build-up around Ukraine than Russia is clearly guilty of.
