  2. Western countries have been lavish with development aid to both Asian and African countries. China is lavish with loans, which the debtor countries eventually default on. You're dangling pie at them, but eventually you're taking a bigger piece back. We call it neo-colonialism for a reason.

  10.  @jackzhou4813  Actually, I spent two years in Kenya building dispensaries and roads, all paid for by development aid grants. We employed scores of locals, from unskilled workers to professional contractors. I hear the Chinese built roads in the same region, using their own imported workforce -- and the roads washed away in a matter of years. Of course, the loans are still outstanding. What have you personally done aside from providing verbal commentary on YouTube?
