The truth of the matter is that China is just one of many participants in the WHO's COVAX programme, which aims to prevent hoarding of limited vaccine supplies at the expense of poorer countries. According to official figures, China has pledged 10 million doses out of the 2 billion targeted by the WHO. As such, China's contribution really doesn't stand out from the rest. To compare apples to apples, India is supplying 200 million doses through COVAX. "The West" easily even triples that.
