Rocket launchers, more like. Mortar tubes aren't open at both ends and they wouldn't lie this flat. What strikes me about the car is that it's burned to a cinder, but not bent out of shape, which suggest it wasn't hit by a Hellfire missile. Only the trunk lid is deformed. My guess is that the terrorists fired the rockets and their back blasts set the car on fire.
