You're suggesting that the victim was an unlawful combatant. That doesn't appear to be the case, and the Geneva Convention calls for a competent tribunal to rule on the matter. Therefore, it was an extrajudicial killing at the very least.

You're the one who's full of it. Speaking on the phone can't be equated to carrying arms openly -- one of the hallmarks of being an unlawful combatant. Even so, they should've arrested him and left it to a tribunal to decided his fate. Unless he was found guilty of genocide, he couldn't have legally been put to death either.

@urbansenicar81 Nope, being suspected of engaging in reconnaissance doesn't make you free game. So now you're trying extenuating circumstances. If you corner a murder suspect and decide to play judge, jury and executioner on the spot, you'll still be charged for murder.
