@Northman-from-the-North You're confused. What goes by the name 'Palestinian territories' -- the West Bank and the Gaza Strip -- have never been given to Israel, not by the UN or anyone else, for that matter. In fact, the UN's International Court of Justice refers to them as 'Occupied Palestinian Territory'.

Striking targets inside Russia out of retribution is counter-productive on many levels. It only plays into the hands of the Russian propagandists, who claim Ukraine is a terrorist state that must be brought to heel. The otherwise apathetic Russians may well buy into that narrative, because the truth -- that Russia is systematically terrorising its neighbour -- is harder to bear. It worked with Chechnya the second time around. Then, the world stood by. Russia will gets its just desserts, but preferably in the form of economic retribution rather than violence. Of course, there's a danger that Russia will blame everyone else for its misfortunes and go to same way as Germany in 1933.
