Both economies, China's and Germany's, are sputtering. Which one are you referring to?

@jin_asap China, as a developing country with still a lot of catching up to do, is necessarily geared for high growth. If the expected growth doesn't materialise, companies will suffer. China has temporalily managed to stimulate the economy with deficit spending, but the government readily admits that it's no recipe for long-term success. It also doubtful if China's growth figures are completely based in truth. Germany, as a highly developed country, has a plateauing economy, which can't be compared to China's. Apples and oranges, buddy.

@hermes4239 Duh, Nordstream became inoperational as a result of Russia's illegal war of aggression in Ukraine, not because Russia blew it up. Russia tried to make geopolitical capital out of it, but failed in that, too. It was a tacit admission that the gas station that masquerades as a country would do no business with Western Europe any longer.

Storm before the silence?

@kennysamuel6836 What is not true about developing countries achieving higher growth figures than developed countries? It's Macroeconomics 101. China is courting foreign investors. The West's decoupling is sending shivers down their spines. Keep up with the news.

@kennysamuel6836 OK, you're resorting to clichés. I'm done.

@mikewong6815 Read through the whole thread. Especially the bit about comparing apples and oranges. And try to keep a civil tongue. You come across as if you're foaming at the mouth.

@mikewong6815 Your TL;DR-esque treatise does nothing to disprove my point. You're still comparing apples and *oranges. At least you're managing to keep a civil tongue now. That's an improvement.
