@xinzhong01 Even so, it means the CCP has managed to set back China's development by years, if not decades. It bears reminding that China brought this on itself. I would like to urge you to elect better leaders, but I realise you can't.

@thelogician1934 China's domestic market isn't big enough the absorb the manufactured goods that China currently exports. Also, while many goods are Chinese-made, it means final assembly of foreign designs, made up of foreign components, which is to say China adds relatively little value to said products. They are not easily replaced with Chinese counterparts either. The question is not if China will face stormy weather, but how well China will weather the storm.

@chenghonggoh4746 You must be unaware that during the Korean War, the UN still recognised Taiwan -- the Republic of China -- as China. After the PRC took over Taiwan's seat in the UNSC, China is effectively undermining its own authority by disregarding the UN's authority.
