  1. ​ @thiagovidal8972  On the contrary, the Russian Empire was among the worst colonisers of them all. When the indigenous population proved unenthusiastic, Russia didn't shy away from genocide. The tsars were adament, too, that they'd receive recognition for their colonial conquests from the other colonial powers. The USSR didn't endeavour to decolonise either. Putin does lament that the Bolsheviks let go of some territories. He'd like to have them back, in fact. Ukraine is a case in point.
