@edwardphillips6738 We're a constitutional republic, and we're judged a top democracy, too, unlike the USA. I don't see any mutual exclusivity.

@elbibwen3019 You betray your ignorance. The UK is still a parliamentary democracy, where the monarch "reigns but does not rule". In other words, King Charles III has a titular role. Some presidents of republics on the European continent find themselves in a similar ceremonial role, while others do have some residual powers.
