@v_fencer It doesn't matter that the sample was taken before the Olympics. Trimetazidine has no short-term effects, but it may bring long-term benefits as in being able to train longer and harder.

@v_fencer What matters is that trimetazidine is a banned substance and that it was discovered in her sample only six weeks before the Olympics. You should focus your wondering on why she took the drug in the first place. It's typically prescribed to those who suffer from coronary heart disease. Maybe heart patients can compete in the Olympics in Curling, but certainly not in figure skating.
