  1.  @MST3Killa  Russia's military leadership problem isn't fixed overnight by appointing a new leader. The whole system is rotten to the core. As long as the war goes on, a new military leader means a new fall guy. The best Russia can hope for is to fix the endemic problems with its military in peace -- literally. For that Russia needs to end the war, and the best prospect for that is by withdrawing its troops from Ukraine. The peace terms terms won't be to Russia's liking, but if not Putin, then someone more realistic needs to swallow the bitter pill.

  4.  @hangyuan9589  The weaker Russia grows, the more dependent it becomes on China. Of course, barring a complete collapse. Putin or a like-minded crony of his must remain in power.
