@jamesgreen1116 You seem confused about the role of NATO in Afghanistan. NATO went in as a stabilisation, reconstruction and training force, with a strong UN mandate, after the Taliban had fled the country and hid away in Pakistan. Sadly, it transpired that at the end of the day, the Afghanis didn't care for stability and didn't want to be trained to run their own country in a civilised manner. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

@TheRealBillBob I would like to see your bronzed hipster weekend warriors take on Finland's finest. We give arctic survival training to your Special Forces. I heard that afterwards, they didn't feel that special any longer. I happened to watch the ratification of Finland's NATO accession in US Congress. The praise being heaped on Finland made me blush. Of course, Simo Häyhä, the most prolific sniper in human history, came up. I think you prefer ignoramuses like you, Billy Bob.
