Inflation is way down, dum-dum. Putin lost the energy war. The price cap on oil is wiping out his earnings and Europe has weathered the storm -- which amounted to nothing more than a storm in a teacup.

@heroinne4229 Eurozone inflation is down from December's 9.2% to 8.5% in January. Most importantly, energy inflation is down from 25.5% to 17.2%. Energy has been solely responsible for boosting inflation on the whole, so the trend is clear. Actually, the European arms industry, too, is benefiting from Putin's ill-advised military adventurism. Order books are full, and since Russia can't even meet its own demand, European manufacturers are taking over Russia's customers, as are US and Israeli manufacturers. It's as if Russia is knowingly destroying its two export success stories, hydrocarbons and arms.

@Goshosekazvam Interesting. From the top of my head, I don't know if Soviet Russia holds the record for killings its own people, or Communist China. Relatively speaking, it must be Cambodia. Russia's gift to the world keeps on giving.
