  1. How is this EU-related, apart from the fact that Germany happens to be a EU member? What you're saying is akin to claiming that all EU citizens wear Lederhosen, because you've seen Germans do it.

  2.  @sorencyrano1413  I put it down to well-developed powers of denial. For four years, the Brits were in complete denial that Brexit would be bad for business. Their government still is.
